Thanksgiving in Chicago!

This year Ty and I made the trip up to Chicago for Thanksgiving. It was not a normal holiday for us, and didn't really feel like Thanksgiving. Since Chad being gone, and it being our anniversary, it was just not the same. But, we did have fun with my parents, sister and aunt and uncle. We had a great time, but it was definitely difficult flying 30 weeks pregnant with a 20 month old on my lap! Thankfully Ty did great and it was only a one hour flight both to and from Chicago!
This year was extra special, because Chad and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary on Thanksgiving day. Unfortunately, we didn't do much celebrating, and it def didn't feel like an anniversary, but Chad was sweet enough to ask my dad to buy some flowers for me! He did a great job picking out a dozen red roses! For our gift, we decided to take a trip somewhere together, without kids!!! Since I am still pregnant, we are hoping to take a weekend trip once we get to Korea, when my parents come in town to visit!

Ty's first and only bite of Thanksgiving. He didn't eat anything but pink salad!! Eventually he'll realize how yummy the food is!!!

Julie and I, def sisters!

Trying to get Ty to smile and have his eyes open. It didn't happen. As always, he was too busy playing having fun!

Bowling

Yesterday, after a little Chick Fil A for dinner (yummy) we decided to take Cole and Ty bowling. It is pretty convenient, because the bowling ally is located next to the Chick Fil A we went to (all in the CMSU student union). This was Ty's first time bowling, and he had a great time! So much that he couldn't even look at the camera for a decent picture!! He kept wanting to watch the other bowlers. Trying to pose with Cole before we started.
Trying to get a good picture with him, but again, too much going on to stop for a picture!

The score board before we started. Ty ended up with a 105, including a few spares and strikes!

The funny contraption they have to help little kids bowl. All Ty had to do was push the ball, and down it went! He LOVED it!!

Craft Time

So the other weekend, when Ty and I were quite bored, I decided it was time to be crafty! His teachers at PDO tell me he is not much of a crafter, he spend 1-3 minutes on each craft, because he only wants to play!! But I decided to give it a shot. I found a cute project online that we could make for Chad for Thanksgiving, since he won't be celebrating with us. We made Hand Print Turkeys! Surprisingly Ty had a great time!!!

Getting ready to start. I put Ty in one of my told t-shirts. He hated this part the most!

Playing with the paint!

More playing and hand prints!
The finished product! I love how they turned out. We actually made 3 in case one was terrible, but they are all cute! It think I am going to send the other to Ty's grandparents!
Chad Update... as of now it looks like he will be leaving the beginning of December! We can not wait for him to come home. It has gone by pretty fast, but I am def ready for him to come home!
Baby Update... 29 weeks on Monday! Crazy how this pregnancy has flown by! Only a few more weeks and we will get to meet this little guy! No name yet, I think we will finally decide once Chad comes home! Other than that I am feeling great, starting to grow a lot more, and will def be ready by the end of January to have this baby!

Neighborhood Halloween Party

On Friday night we had our annual neighborhood halloween party. Ty went as a puppy dog, the cuttest ever, and Kaitlyn as a doctor, also very cute! We had a great time, filled with playing games, pizza, sweets, and a bon fire. Heather did a great job of putting it together!

What a cuttie!

Both little ones, the doc and dog!

Our side of the neighborhood kids! M&M's, super heros and a puppy dog!

Ty just loved it! a perfect evening...... with one thing missing, Daddy! :(

Pumpkin Patch

We had some friends visiting this past weekend, April and Kaitlyn Tice. We had a great few days including the pumpkin patch, halloween party, and a baby shower! (those pics will come later). This year we went up to Carolyns Cousins Pumpkin Patch. It is about an hour away, but by far one of the best in the KC area! We took a hay ride out to an actual pumpkin patch, saw animals at the petting zoo, played on the playground, dug in the sand pit, etc. There was even a pumpkin cafe! We didn't get a chance to eat there, but I am sure it was amazing!

I just love this picture of Ty! He is so happy and was having so much fun!
Holding his pumpkin after picking it out in the pumpkin patch.
He found one! :)

Just about to leave on the hayride out to the pumpkin patch! So fun!!!

Ohio Visit

So a few weeks ago, Ty and I made a trip out to Ohio. I was going back to make my first wedding cake for a friend. It turned out beautiful and she loved it!

Fantastic News!!

Last week we found out that there was a potential that Chad's Korea dates would get pushed back to the end of Jan/ beginning of Feb. I guess there are too many guys showing up in December to get trained, so the commander asked is Chad minded getting pushed back month or so. Obviously, we totally didn't care and were excited about the potential change. Well we found out today, that his dates have been changed to mid February.

This means....
1) Chad won't miss Christmas (or shouldn't unless for some reason he stays in Afghanistan's much longer)
2) I won't have to live with my parents for 3 months
3) Chad will def be home and around for the birth of our baby
4) We have a few extra months to sell our house!
5) We get to have our baby here with the same midwives I had deliver Ty
6) I will prob be able to have the baby naturally (still praying it comes early), but hopefully no induction!
7) And much more... I am just not sure of those at this moment!

I am still SUPER excited about our move to Korea, and it can't come soon enough, but this just makes life a little easier. I am a little nervous about if we do sell the house, what will happen, but I am not going to stress about that until I have to!

Baby Update.....
23 weeks along! Over half way...
Feeling him move a lot
