Labor Day Weekend- Everland
After our trip to Busan, Chad decided to take a few extra days off. Actually, he had about 10 days off, and only had to taek 3 days of leave. He had 4 days at Labor Day, 3 days he took off, the weekend, and then he also has the following Monday, today off for Chosak (a Korean Holiday similar to Thanksgiving, they let the base off for the holiday, actually the whole American Forces in Korea was off for it, thats how BIG of a holiday today was).
While he was off we headed up to Everland. Ty got to ride a pony for the first time. He first horse ride was with Chad, but this time he was all alone!!! He LOVED it!
He is growing up WAY TOOOO fast, but I LOVE evey minute of it!!
I have told you before, but now you can see for yourself how CRAZY the Koreas are over Blond haired kids!!!!! This was a groupd of about 15 girls at Everland. They started taking pictures of the boys, talking to them, touching them, etc. Ty usually yells or gets very shy around them, but today he ate it up. Jack usually smiles and enjoys their crazy company! haha

Labor Day Weekend- Busan, South Korea
Labor Day weekend, we headed down to Busan for a mini vacation. We went down there with a few other families, including Donald and Sandi Roley. We took the KTX high speed train down there (about a 2 hour ride), then a taxi to our hotel. Busan is a beautiful city on the south tip of South Korea. It is the largest import city in the country, and the second largest city in South Korea. While we were there we went to the beach a few times, the Busan Aquarium, and hiked to a light house for a few great pics!! The boys did great and Jack enjoyed his first trip to the beach!!!
At the light house overlooking the city of Busan.
Our happy little Man!! :) Unfortunately, since Jack is now crawling, it was much harder to keep him content. Thankfully Sandi and Donald and a few other friends helps entertain him while we were at the beach. The sand in Busan is not very fine, more like small ground up stones, so I didn't want him crawling or playing in it. It was a nightmare to remove the sand, even in the shower!!

Chad home & We Moved!
On the Move
So it is official, Jack is MOVING! He has been rolling/ scooting for about a month now, but in the past few days he figured out how to get from point A to point B. He is not quite crawling, I would call it more of a "slinky move". Actually Chad came up with that term, but that's what he looks like. I am sure he will be actually crawling in a week or so, but he is moving, enough to where I can't take my eye off him now!!! Time to Baby Proof AGAIN!

July
Ty enjoying his time bowling. This is a place we visit frequently. They have kids bowling lanes and a play area, and cheep good food!!!
Jack sitting like a BIG BOY!!! He is such a happy little guy, the same as Ty was. The only difference between the two is that Jack is thinner (doesn't have those crazy cheeks), and doesn't sleep quite as well as Ty. Other than that, they are both happy go Lucky Boys!! I just LOVE them to death!!
At the Fourth of July event of base, Ty and Jack wearing their 4th shirts I made them with my new sewing machine!!!
Ty playing in the beach, Yeonpo beach. Our first beach experience in Korea. It was kinda dirty, and we prob won't go back to this beach, but we will def be going back to the beach here. It is only about 1.5 hour drive, so totally within driving distance for a day trip! Ty loves and, as I know Jack will too!!!
A night out without kids!!! I finally made it out on the town in Songtan, the area right outside the Osan gate. Here we are taking "kettle" shots. They taste like juice, I totally could have drank the whole thing, but had to drive home (another bonus about living on base, no driving!!! or driving babysitters home!!). I had a fun time and will hopefully get to do it again sometime soon!!!
So Chad has officially been gone a month at Red Flag, Alaska. It has gone fast, but I am ready for it to be over!! It is much harder taking care of 2 little ones. Things always take longer and are just exhausting!! The worst part is that it is Mosoon season. It rained everyday for almost 20+ days, and during that time we had over 30 inch of rain! Seriously, I don't know where it all goes!!! And it is not like Florida, where the sun shines one minute, and it pours the next. No, it jsut RAINS ALL DAY!!! My best purchase before leaving the states was def my rain boots!!! On the few days it has not rained, we headed down to Splish & Splash (a local waterpark at Humphrys Army base, 20 min drive), Everland (like Disney, but in Korea), and the zoo (our favorite place). Hopefully these next few weeks go fast. We are moving on base Aug 12!!! I am sooo excited! Hopefully our household goods get here sooner than later, and that Chad actually makes it home for the move. He flies a jet home from AK on Aug 5, and I am praying he is in one of the few jets that won't break!!! If not, then I am on my own, but at this point, I don't mind. I am just ready to be on base!!! Here are a few pics of us keeping busy this past month!! Can you believe Jack is 6 months old!!! Crazy how time FLIES!!

Update...
So I have been very bad about keeping up with my blog. Things have just been CRAZY here!!! Chad leaves for Red Flag (to Alaska) in 2 weeks, so once that happens, I will have the evening to do all the "fun" things I like to do, aka... blog, picaboo, photoshop, and my newest hobby.. embroidery!!! I have lots of "to do's" while he is gone, and prob won't get half of them done! haha Anyway, here is a quick update.
Jack aka, Jack Jack or Jack Willie, is finally sleeping better. We had to let him "cry it out" about a week ago. He is finally not getting up a gazillion times (when the binky fell out), back to the normal once. Once we are in this habit for a while, I will nix this feeding and he will hopefully sleep 12ish hours! It is a work in progress. He is rolling over both ways, not regularly, but enough. We started rice cereal, and I honestly think he LOVES it! He eats much better than Ty did at this age, and cries when it is all gone. We might start veggies sooner than I thought. O well, just another thing to do at dinner time... no biggie! haha
Ty is great! He has starting going to the CDC once or twice a week from 830-1130. It gives me a break from 2 kids, and Ty the opportunity to play with little ones without me being around! He seems to enjoy it. It is $3 an hour and they even feed him lunch!! LOVE THIS!!! He loves movies, especially Ice Age 1, 2 & 3.
Chad is great as well. He is almost done with the FAC upgrade, actually his check ride is tomorrow. Then off to Alaska for 6 weeks. I'm sure he will enjoy the break, but also miss us a TON!
I am keeping busy. We went to the flower market a few weeks ago (LOVE that place),and Dongdemun (a HUGE, I mean CRAZY HUGE) fabric/notions/ribbon/beads/button/etc. place today. I took pictures but it does not do it justice (will post those later). I wish the states had places like these. They are all whole sale markets, so stores come to them, have things made, then go sell them. But anyone can go, not just ppl who have stores and sell goods. I just LOVE it, and now that I have been once, I want to go back with a "plan" and buy lots of stuff!! If you go without a plan, you are so overwhelmed you won't buy anything!
Ok, so that is the basic update. I will post pics later!

Happy Easter
Our first holiday in Korea was a success! We headed down to Humphrey's Army base for an Easter egg hunt and pig roast with the Erbs. It was a beautiful day, just a little windy. Ty enjoyed the Easter egg hunt, and of course all the candy! Sunday, we went to church then to the O'Club for brunch. Over all it was a good weekend!

Our First Adventure....Seoul Zoo
This past Wednesday, the boys and I headed to the Seoul Zoo. We still had a little jet lag, but I thought that getting out in the fresh air would help all of us! It def did, Ty finally slept through the night Wednesday night, and Jack only got up once! Anyway, the Seoul Zoo is about an hour from here. A friend (who I met that day, but talked to on FB multiple times) picked me up, then us and 5 other car loads headed up to the zoo. It is a beautiful zoo. It has all your standard animals, but it also has multiple flower gardens and play grounds. Ty was asking to see the elephants all day, so that was a must us! Even Jack had a great time!!
Jack just chillin, what he does best!

We made it
We finally made it to Korea! On Friday the April 8th, me and the boys made the long 14 hour trip. Thankfully my parents were able to escort me to the gate, so I only had to do the 14 hours, and then make it through immigration and customs alone. It was quite a site though, me pushing a stroller with 2 little ones, a backpack, bag, and carseat!!! I was the last one off the plane, and one of the last to get my luggage, but when we finally made it out, and met CHAD!!! Ty was so funny, he wouldn't stop saying "Daddy" all day!!! Once we arrived, we had to catch a bus to Osan, then drive to our apartment. We landed at 310, and finally made it to our apartment by 630!! Made for a very long day!!! Honestly, the worst part was the drive from base to our apartment, both boys cried the whole time!! Then....jet lag!!! Wow, I didn't realize how aweful this is!! We kept Ty up on the drive from the airport to base and home, but finally put him to bed around 8. He was up at 2am for a few hours, then finally fell back alseep for a few hours. Jack, was awake as well, eating every 3 hours!! It took till Wednesday (after a long day at the zoo), for Ty to start sleeping though the night. He is still grumpy, and adjusting, but at least he is not waking up in the middle of the night. Jack is finally back to waking up once, then going back to sleep till 630 or 7.
Jack passed out on his play mat!
Walking on the plane. I stopped traffic once I got down the jetway. I had to have an older man hold Jack so I could fold up the stroller, then have him help me carry all my bags onto the plane. As I said, quite a site and experience. Nothing I am going to do anytime soon!!! But... we Made it and are

Ty's Birthday
We were very blessed this year to be able to celebrate Ty's birthday with both our families. We had a birthday party with Chads side of the family Sunday, and with my family, on Ty's actual birthday, Tuesday. It was almost perfect.... just missing one thing, Ty's daddy!!! We are going to have one more party once we get to Korea to celebrate Ty's birthday again (opening presents from me and Chad), and to celebrate Chads birthday! Overall Ty had a great time. I really think he loved all the attention he got! You can see this in some of the pictures!! His favorite presents were a Nemo bath fish, and a Nemo hat my parents found in Key West.
Clapping after Ty blew out the candles at Chads parents.
