Saying Goodbye...Again

Saturday we had to say goodbye to Chad...AGAIN, only 2 months after he got back! Totally stinks!!! I was pretty much a wreck all day, but I guess that is to be expected 2 weeks after having a baby, and having to say goodbye again. We got a few good family pics before we headed to the airport, so here they are.
The most recent family photo.... and will be until we move to Korea!

Daddy kissing his baby boy. He will be so big when we move!

Chad with his boys! I just Love this picture and I am sooo in love with all of them. It makes me tear up just thinking about it!
Chad did make it to Korea, after a LONG day of traveling. He actually said it is pretty cool, just a little wiered. Like there are not really sidewalks, every street looks the same, and the drivers are NUTS!!! He did say both the commisary and BX are fantastic though! Always exciting for me!!! He has not "checked" in yet, because the base wase doing an exercise, but he will tomorrow night (Friday) during the roll call. I am exctied to see what he actually thinks of the squadron and all the guys. So far though, I think it is going ot be a great assignment and I CAN NOT WAIT TO GET THERE!!!! Hopefully only 6-7 more weeks!! :)

Brothers

Here is our first picture of Ty and Jack together. Ty is making his "cheese" face (which he now does during every picture I take of him) and Jack is just not quite sure what is going on.

After we get settled in Ohio, I will post some better pics of my boys. I have some really cute ones! :)

Baby Jack

Wednesday, January 26, at 3:59pm, Jack William Rogers, made is arrival into this world and our family. The day started at about 530am, when I woke up (or got out of bed, after not sleeping all night). I got ready or as much as you can when you know you are going to go have a baby, ate some Life cereal, and dropped Ty off at Flo's house (his old sitter). We made our way to the hospital, checked in and finally got to our "birthing" room at about 620. After answering what seemed to be a million questions, I was given Cydatec, a drug/pill that is place inside your cervix to help ripen and dilate it. This "pill" has to stay in for 4 hours, and then you can be checked again, so see what progress has been made. When they first put it in, I was at 3cm, and about 50% effaced. After 4 hours, I was to a 4, and closer to 75% effaced. Thankfully progress had been made so they didn't have to place another "pill" in me. (They can do this up to 4 times!!!!!) Gail, my midwife, decided since I made progress, that she would break my water to try to help move things along. After she broke my water, and we did a few other natural "things" to get labor started, I was having contractions 2 minutes apart. This was at about noon. So I was officially in labor, and we were going to have this baby!!! I decided to get an epidural, but it def didn't work as well as mine did with Ty, but at least it did help dull the pain! Finally at about 3:50 (not really sure the time), Gail told me that we were ready to start pushing! I pushed twice (or two contractions) and Baby Jack was born!!!! Literally, he about fell out of me!!! Since he came through the birth canal so fast, he has 2 blood spots in his eyes, his face was bruised, and he has broken blood vessels on top of his head! (I guess babies like to come out slowly!!!) I was thankful it went so fast, Jack not so much!!! Either way, he is a healthy baby boy, and we are so blessed to have him in our lives!
Baby Jack.... 8 lbs, 20.5 inches long

First picture with mommy and daddy!

My boys! I love them so much!!!

Playing with Ty on the bed

A sleeping baby, something Jack LOVES to do! I actually have to wake him every 3-3.5 hours to feed him! This is a blessing, but also makes feeding very hard, because he want to go back to sleep! We'll see how long it lasts before he "wakes" up!

KC Hawgs Fini Flight

Today was Chad's last flight here at Whiteman. It was his fini flight. After each assignment, you are given a fini flight, as your last flight with your unit. At Vance they brought up the fire truck and I sprayed Chad with a fire hose, but here, they brought out water can blowers, and one of the guys shot him with the water, and I showered him with Champagne. It was fun, but VERY cold, probably 28* and very windy! His fini flight was with Arson and Zero in a 3-ship. I think they had a pretty good time, or from what I am told them did!!! Chad pulling up
The beginning of getting sprayed with water and showered with champagne.

Running from the water. It was sooo cold!!!

Family photo (38 weeks pregnant!)
Arson, Chad (Splitz) and Zero (you can see Ty's head at the bottom of the picture. As we were taking the pics, he ran up to Chad and wanted to be in them too! It was too cute!!

Date Set!!!

So I went to the doc today and we set a date for induction, Jan 26.....unless Baby Jack decides to make his debut before then (I am pray and hoping so). Either way, I think it is a good day, a week before the movers arrive and a little over a week when we will be driving home. Definitely giving us enough time to see Dr. Couch and make sure everything is good to go with him and Tricare before we move to Ohio! So let the count down begin.......

Maternity Pictures!

Yesterday, my friend Tiffany, volunteered to take some pregnany pictures of me! I was her first subject using her new camera and lens, besides her son. I think she did a fantastic job! She def has an eye for photography!!! I am hoping we can find some time to do newborn pics before we move. I am just about 37 week along in these pics. If you are lucky enough to read my blog, then you now know Baby Boy Rogers#2's name. I am not posting these to FB until after he is born, so there will still be a surprise to some!

Just like a picture I have when I was pregnant with Ty, except we used dark blue ribbon for him! If and when we have a third, we might be using pink or another shade of blue! Either way, I love it!!!

My VERY Favorite!

Pregnancy Update... 36 weeks

So we are finally only a few weeks away from meeting Baby Boy Rogers #2. I am 36 weeks along today, and totally ready to have this baby. So far things have been as smooth as with Ty. Since we are moving the week of my due date, Jan 31, my midwives have agreed to induce me at 39 weeks as long as I am "ripe". At 35 weeks I was already dilated to a 1, so I am hoping this is an indication that I will be ready to have this baby at 39 weeks. There will be a lot of hoping, praying, eating spicy food, walking, having LOTS of Fun with Chad**, etc.... in the next few weeks!
