Ty's 1st Birthday

So It finally happened, our baby turned 1!!!!!!!! I just can not believe how fast the time went. The past 12 months have been the most challenging yet rewarding months of my life. I can not wait to watch Ty grow up and eventually see another baby do the same! :)

We had an exciting days planned for Ty. First we went to our Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. My friend Heather put it together for everyone. We showed up a little late, but just in time for the egg hunt! After that, we came home and had Ty's first birthday party. We had about 35 people over (yes, a little overwhelming), but fun! Chad's parents made it along with Dana, Jamie, Addison and Hunter. Most everyone else works with Chad or lives in the neighborhood. We had a great time. Monday, Ty's actual birthday, we had some pizza (his favorite) and took him our for his first ice cream home!!! We had a wonderful evening together as a family!

Thinking...

As I sit here watching 4 children, yes 4 children, (Ty along with 3 others, Nicole, Josh and Caroline, a coworkers of Chad couldn't find a sitter for the UTA weekend, so I volunteered to watch them) I wonder how many children we will have one day. I was also thinking about this last night as I sat and watched Supper Nanny (one of my favorite shows). Chad and I have discussed trying for number 2, but I am not sure I am quite ready for that. We have not even hit the toddler stage, and to have that along with a newborn, would be a bit crazy! But then I think of the other side, the first year would be hard, but then they would be able to play together. That would be great! I am hoping for about 28 month apart, but Chad wants exactly 2 years! Who knows. As of now, I am hoping to find out if a deployment or an assignment is happening in the Fall. Once we know that info, maybe I will feel a little better about trying for #2. I guess either way it doesn't matter, we def want more children, and it will happen when it is supposed to! :)

March...

So there are LOTS of things to look forward to this month.
1) the weather is finally starting to get nice! 55 this Friday and Saturday. I think I can finally start my daily walks with Ty after school, and finally loose another 5lbs.

2) Ty is turning 1!!!! at the end of the month we are having a birthday party for him! :) I am sooo excited about it. Chad's family is coming to town and we are having some friends over!

3) March Maddness

4) Mustach March....or NOT!

I guess that is about it, but still exciting to me!!

Update

Wow, it has been a LONG time since I have Blogged. I am going to try to get back into this, but it is very hard, with working full time. So here is a quick update of our life...

I am not returning to work next year... 52 days till seniors graduate, meaning about 60 for me!

Ty is almost a year old! We are planning a birthday party for him next month! I am super excited about it. Chad family is going to be coming out, which is wonderful!

Chad is still loving work. No deployment on the schedule yet, but we might be getting an assignment this fall. Who knows with the AF. If not this fall, probably in the winter, moving in the SPring. We are going back and forth between Korea and putting Germany first. Who knows what will happen!!!

Well that is a basic update of our lives. I will try to update weekly/biweekly/monthly.

Our first time Swimming

While my friends from college were visiting me, Ty had his first outing at the swimming pool. We didn't make it into the water (that will be next time), but when we do we will be sure to get some great pictures. As you can see Ty enjoys just "chilling" with me and watching all the little kids swim!!
